About us
Driving Dynamics Limited is based in Yorkshire but operates on a national level. The company delivers driver training at all levels and along with or sister company “Steer Clear” has many unique courses.
Both companies are managed by experts in the driver training and personal safety fields and have strong links with road safety departments and the emergency services.
Our Staff
If you have had the opportunity to look at our website you will have noticed our courses are designed and built by Police Advanced Driving Instructors/Examiners. Indeed all our instructors are either Police advanced driving instructors or the highest qualified fleet trainers with additional training in the police way of driving.

Skid Awareness Training
Skid recognition and avoidance training is an essential element of any driver’s development. Our packages include instruction in

Our training vehicle
We are proud to be in a position to offer our state of the art vehicle.
A specially converted Renault Megane, is equipped with the very latest computerised system. At the flick of a switch the car transforms from a road vehicle into a fully functioning skid car.
There are no oily skidpans or cumbersome frames; the vehicle operates on any tarmac or concrete area without causing damage or leaving any signs of use. There is no noise from the vehicle other than the normal engine noise associated with a running vehicle and at all times the vehicle is under the total control of the instructor. As an added precaution the vehicle it is fitted with dual controls.
We believe the car is a valuable tool for driver development and whilst our courses are enjoyable we do not use the vehicle for stag parties or fun days.
Venues
Our vehicle is totally mobile we can travel to you and set up on your car park, loading bays, corporate areas etc or if you have staff located throughout the country we can work with you to arrange areas to use at strategic locations. All we need is a tarmac or concrete surface, minimum size approx 80 meters by 40 metres. We leave no signs of use; in fact, the vehicle has even been used on a drill square without any adverse effects. In the past agencies have negotiated the use of other company/local authority car park for use on the day.
The Cost
Our costs vary depending on the option you choose
Group sessions
We can accommodate up to 18 people throughout the course of a day and the group can take part in any of the options below
Sessions include:
- State of the art car, no frame or dirty oily surface
- One and a half hour session with a full hour in car training time
- Three people per session
- Automatic with hand controls available for disabled drivers
- Special discounts for groups
- Groups welcome by arrangement
- Gift vouchers available
Option 1
Skid awareness sessions with 3 people in the vehicle. This session includes a briefing of approx 20 mins followed by 1-hour tuition in the vehicle. All occupants will take a turn at driving the car with the others present in the vehicle.
The benefits of this are employees are only away from their normal activities for one and a half hours.
The cost per day for is £1050*, the day can run to whatever format you like but we would suggest instead of having people stood around all day after briefing and before driving you might like to try our normal procedures where we alternate instructors
9 – 10.30am Group 1
10 – 11.30am Group 2
11 – 12.30pm Group 3
1 – 2.30pm Group 4
2 – 3.30pm Group 5
3 – 4.30pm Group 6
Option 2
Skid Training and manoeuvring. Manoeuvring will take place in customers own vehicles. This will involve negotiating a course designed to enhance skills and confidence. Cost from £1200* per day. This is particularly useful for companies who have a problem with low speed collisions when drivers are manoeuvring.
Option 3
Skid session and manoeuvring as above, plus on road defensive driving, focusing on driving techniques such as reading corners and bends, extending observations, advanced planning, motorway driving and managing stress. The on road session and manoeuvring will take place in company vehicles.
Cost from £1350* per day (based on 9 delegates per day). Option 3 covers all aspects of your company obligations in relation to health and safety.
The above costs* do not include catering and are exclusive of VAT.
